When I first went out the waves were rather big but the wind was a bit light so I was pleased to make it out the back through endless waves. It was better when the tide went out a bit and the wind picked up with an exciting but out of control ride in! Then the wind dropped and there wasn't enough to get going properly so I hoped to catch a wave back in. Instead a monster appeared from nowhere and I couldn't hold on so had a good swim. I was a bit tired by then and the wind seemed to have died so packed up.
